With the HSG's steady growth to 10'040 enrolled students in the autumn semester of 2024 and the rising cost of living, the need for social scholarships is also growing. In order to continue to support our current 130 young talents next year, we need donations of of CHF 500'000 by summer 2025.
Scholarship holders receive funding for tuition fees and a lump sum for materials per semester. The grant is non-repayable and is awarded on an individual basis by HSG Student Financing for one or two semesters from the second semester onwards (except in the Master's programme).
Example 1: Elias, Swiss, 19 years old
Lives in the canton of Zurich with three school-age siblings. His widowed father is unable to pay for his studies, despite support and a widower's pension. Thanks to his grandparents, Elias was able to finance his first year at university and did well. He would like to study law and economics.
Example 2: Viktoriia, Ukrainian, 24 years old,
came to Switzerland with her mother and her younger brother owing to the Ukrainian war. She is studying International Affairs at the Master’s Level.
With your donation, you will help to give young people with financial difficulties the best possible future at the HSG and promote equal opportunities and diversity at the University of St.Gallen.
